Mt. Arayat is located in Arayat, Pampanga, within the coordinates of 120E43’00” to 120E47’00” Longitude and 15E11’00” to 15E14’00” Latitude. It is accessible via the Gapan-Olongapo Road, around 17 kilometers from the San Fernando Interchange.
The development and conservation project for Mt. Arayat and Arayat National Park, aligned with Republic Act 7690 issued on March 7, 1994, aims to prioritize their development as a tourist spot under the Department of Tourism. In line with this objective, a sustainable development plan was proposed to meet recreational needs, provide educational resources, and preserve the area’s rich heritage and culture.
Scope of the Project
- Formulation of Master Development Plan for the barangays surrounding Mount Arayat.
- Formulation of tourism development plan for Arayat National Park that will provide direction for the Provincial Government of Pampanga, Municipal Government of Arayat, DOT Region III, local and national government agencies, and community leaders in developing and enhancing the park’s present condition anchoring on the unique attributes and resources to be developed, managed and promoted.
- Preparation of detailed architectural and engineering design for the Arayat National Park integrating the various project components.
